Doc has been hailed by the critics as "A young, new master of the saxophone" and he brings this mastery along with tons of energy to every performance. Tim also works with a dizzying array of leading New England and Chicago musicians. Doc's first two CDs, released on Chicago's Southport record label, have been widely acclaimed and broadcast worldwide. His latest release, "Ancient Pines" stretches the boundries of the jazz dou format with Tatsu Aoki joining in on bass. Dr. O'Dell is a music professor at the University of Maine and holds graduate degrees in music from the New England Conservatory and the University of Iowa.
