Eric "Doghouse" Davis ~ Acoustic Bass

Eric Davis studied piano and trumpet and started playing the acoustic bass in high school. Eric formed a jazz combo and performed at wedding receptions while still a high school student. Eric and his trio landed a steady gig just out of high school, playing three nights a week at the Hearthside Lounge in Waterville, Maine for two years. Over the years, Eric has played with numerous other groups, ranging from duos to big bands, and he has worked with pianist Micky Felder, guitarist Pierro Brovaronne, and more recently with clarinetist Stan Catell. A highlight of Eric's musical career was the opportunity to play with the late legendary jazz guitarist Tal Farlow.

Currently, he works for Maine Coast Eye Care, and is a massage therapist.
